The Scoop

Nominations and Awards
A Mind of My Own
Pairing: J/D
Category: Slash. First Time. Humor. Angst. PWP.
Season: Any
Synopsis: Blackmail is a beautiful thing. So is revenge.
WARNINGS:  Dirty,
nasty, smutty, steamy, hot sexy fun! Plus a clinical exam. And massages,
champagne, pillar candles and ancient Greek
porn. Jack’s doodling counts, too.
Minor unintentional violence and its angsty repercussions. Then there’s the
pouting. And ultra graphic m/m sex.
Whew!
Author’s Notes: We’ve always
suspected certain...uh... parts have minds of their own – now we know for
sure! The blame for this story belongs
to the AlphaGate mailing list. Somebody mentioned the little colonel (who
resents being called “little,” BTW), then there was talk of syrup and
waffle-gasms, and the next thing I know I’ve got a telepathic connection to
these… these Muses and I’m typing as fast as I can. The keyboard
ends up smoking and thoroughly satisfied. Many thanks to the Undercover
Beta for the excellent comments! And I’m still pouting because I had to
write a rebuttal. This started out from the little colonel’s POV and degenerated
from there. Thanks also to Delilah for the Latin translations! This is a rare
departure for me into humor. Normally I don't write funny stuff, and there
are good reasons for that. This one actually turned out right!

A Slip of Metal

Rating: NC-17
Pairing:
J/D/Other, J/D, J/Other, D/Other.
Category:
Slash. Het. Romance. First Time. Angst.
Date: 2 November 2003
Episode Tags: The Cure, Fallen/Homecoming

Season/Spoilers:
Season 7 with spoilers for Season 8.
WARNINGS:
Graphic sex. Multiple partners. Minor character death.
Synopsis:
Relations with an alien race lead Jack and Daniel to explore a deeper
side to their relationship. Jack has trouble dealing with the aftermath, resulting in
a long separation for the men. Years later, they are brought together again by
these same aliens and discover in each other the soulmate each believed they
had lost forever.
Author’s Notes: I’d like to give credit to X for inspiring the title and several pivotal
scenes in this story. The passion in X’s artworks, ‘Irresistible Force’ and ‘A Slip of
Metal,’
were highly significant to the plot and gave rise to the title, used with
permission. Another wonderful piece, ‘Playing with the Bull on P3X-802, has
stayed with me since I first saw it, illustrating an endearingly sweet moment
between Jack and Daniel. All your work is unforgettable, X. The URL to X's
website has been removed at the artist's request because so many people
have been stealing and altering the artwork, which is a crying shame. If we
don't respect the artists whose work we so enjoy, we will soon come to the
point where the artists stop creating and we will be forever diminished by the
works they choose not to create in order to prevent theft of it by unscrupulous
others. Many thanks to Jude for the awe-inspiring alpha. I wanna be you when
I grow up! Thanks also to Shazzz and Gateroller for the always excellent beta
jobs and emotional support.

Part 1

Part 2

Rating: NC-17
Pairings: J/S, J/D, S/T (implied)
Category: Slash. Angst. First Time.
Season/Spoilers: Stargate, the Movie. Season 1: Children of the Gods.
Season 2: Thor's Chariot, The Fifth Race. Season 4: The Other Side,
Window of Opportunity. Season 5: 48 Hours. Season 6: Paradise Lost,
Full Circle. Season 7: Fallen, Avenger 2.0.
Synopsis: Feeling sure that he can never be with Daniel, Jack tries to
convince himself that he belongs with Sam, and takes a new position at
the SGC to give that relationship a try. Daniel disappears off-world, trying
to run away from his broken heart and unable to watch Jack and Sam
together. Soon Sam realizes that Jack will never belong to her and a
desperate search for Daniel ensues, but only Jack can find him, following his
heart across the universe to the man he loves.

Author’s Notes: This plot bunny attacked when I was supposed to be sleeping
and left me crying in my pillow. It has a bleak, painful start that begins a long
journey to an unexpected place of joy. Part of it was inspired by Quercus’
wonderfully angsty fic, Daniel Drives. Though I wasn’t really thinking about that
fic when the initial idea hit for this story, I can place it in my mind as a “missing scene.”
Daniel Drives
is one of my “keepers,” and I always love going back to re-read it.
Bravo, Quercus! Alpha and beta credit go to the amazing Jude. I really wish
she'd let me give her co-author credit on this, because she deserves it. Her
commentary and insights are invaluable! She's simply a slash goddess, folks, and I'm
privileged to have her time and talent invested in my writing. Jude rocks, and I love her.

WARNINGS: Some J/S ship, but they don’t do more than hold hands and kiss
because ewwww! Graphic m/m sex. Mmmmm!

SG-1/Slash/Best Angst
A Walk in the Park

Rating: PG-13

Pairing: J/D, Brian Kinney/Justin Taylor

Category: Slash, Crossover (Queer as Folk-US)

Date Posted: 4/7/2007

Season/Spoilers: Any/None

Synopsis: Sometimes changing your life really is a walk in the park.

Jack POV.

WARNINGS:  None.
Author's Notes: Sometimes the stories just write themselves. This was one of
them – jotted down in 2 days. Usual gratitude to Jude, who rocks on every level
there is.

Gemini
Pairing: J/OMC, D/OMC, OMC/OMC, J/D
Category: Slash. Angst. First Time. Romance.
Season/Spoilers: Season 7.

Synopsis: Jack strikes up a relationship with a surprising new friend, and
through this impetuous Frenchman comes to terms with some issues
that have been bothering O’Neill for a long time.

WARNINGS:  Graphic m/m sex. Mild kink.

Author’s Notes: This story is the prize won by Hellen for the Moonridge
Auction. Great thanks to her for bidding on me, and for the generosity of
her donation. She wanted a story featuring Jack owning up to his bad
treatment of Daniel in seasons 4, 5 and 7, and this was the solution I
came up with. She told me it worked just fine for her, too. Thanks,
Hellen!

Thanks to my trusty alpha/beta, Jude, for her always astute comments,
faithful support, and making me do it up right, every time. Nothing goes
out of Lady Grey’s hands without Jude’s blessing, and it’s waaaaay too
much fun working up to that. You rock, gal.

And of course, big honkin’ thanks to our French Canadian friend (you
know who you are) for the assistance with
le Fran
çais. We couldn’t have
done it right without you!
Merci beaucoup, mon amie!

For those of you who are interested in the writer's process, there's a
little something extra at the end of this story. It contains every spoiler
there is, so please read the story first before digging into what went
into putting it together. Enjoy!

Into the Blue

Pairing: J/D.

Category:  BDSM. Non-con. Darkfic. Slash. First time.

Season/Spoilers: S2, Need

Synopsis: Aliens made them do it, and it wasn't pretty.

WARNINGS: BDSM. Non-con. Torture. Jack bottom.

Author's Notes: THIS IS A SQUICK-FIC. It exceeds my personal squick
limits, but I had to write it anyway, because that's how this "author" thing
works for me. I follow the Muse and write the stories I'm given, even when
they make me uncomfortable or horrified, which this one did. Writing isn't
about what makes me happy. It's about going on the journey with my
characters and looking my demons in the eye through theirs.

A multitude of thanks to WordGeek and crownglass39 for their support,
encouragement and suggestions, and for holding my hands while I went to
this dark place. No beta work was done, so I own all the mistakes.

Synopsis: Following the death of Sarah Gardner, Daniel realizes it’s time
he finally learned how to really live. Believing he can never reveal his true
feelings to the one he truly loves, he seeks companionship in the hopes
that he can find happiness in the arms of someone else.

WARNINGS:  Graphic m/m sex.

Author’s Notes:  Jude simply rocks. I am always thankful for her support,
guidance and advice, as well as the gift of her friendship.

Synopsis: There's Daniel. There's music. There's dancing. Jack gets
more than an eyeful.
WARNINGS:  M/m sex.  Language.

Quicksilver
Pairing: J/D
Category: Slash. Angst. First Time.
Season/Spoilers: Season 7. Menace, Fallen, Lifeboat.

Synopsis: Jack attempts to tell Daniel something important, only he doesn't
understand the message himself until Daniel translates it for him
much later.

WARNINGS:  Graphic m/m sex. Possibly Non-consensual.

Author’s Notes: This was my first slash story, completely unbetaed, so
all mistakes are mine.

Rainbow Warrior
Pairing: J/D
Category: Slash, Romance, Angst, First Time, wishful thinking AU.
Season/Spoilers: Season 7.
Posted: 2/22/06
Length: 130 pages

Synopsis: In response to a direct order from the President, the military
finally takes steps to correct its discriminatory attitude toward gay and
lesbian soldiers. Following this groundbreaking event, Jack O’Neill comes
out to his team, losing the support of one of them.  Daniel decides to
help his friend truly come to terms with his newly recognized orientation,
and gets far more than he ever expected..

WARNINGS:  Graphic m/m sex.

Author’s Notes: The military mindset is a tough nut to crack, resistant
to change.  The premise in this story is not likely to happen anytime in
our near future, but for the purposes of fiction, I have set up circumstances
in this story that I hope to one day see come to pass: the acceptance
of homosexuals as equals in our society, and in our military. I hope you
will suspend your disbelief enough to enjoy this story for the dramatic
events and situations presented within, and that it will entertain you.

Thanks to Rowan for her military expertise.  She said this would never
happen in our reality, which is a very sad thing indeed, but it was something
I wanted to explore and wrote it anyway, even though it’s basically just
my own personal fantasy. But then, the Air Force in the canon series is
TPTB’s fantasy, so I guess that makes us even. ;-) Thanks, as always,
to Jude: my rock, my sister, my co-conspirator, Alpha Extraordinare.
And of course, big honkin’ thanks to Elona, Amy Cat and Nita for the
assistance with the Russian dialogue. We couldn’t have done it right
without you! I’ve made the characters ages more closely align with
the actors’ ages in this fic because  I thought it would be fun to explore
the difference in their world experiences, so this time I ignored canon
and went my own way.

Reality Check
Rating: G
Pairings: J/D
Category: Slash, AU, Adventure.
Season: Seven

Synopsis: During the course of an off-world mission, Daniel contemplates
what makes some universes more real than others with an interesting
new friend.

WARNINGS:  No warnings. It's all good. ;-)

Author’s Notes:

This story was started by a friend of mine, who wishes to remain
anonymous. After nagging her to finish it for a couple of years, she gave
it to me, incomplete, and asked me to do the honors. I’d love to give her
credit, but she won’t have that. Just so the readers know, most of the credit
belongs to my local Stargate buddy, and not to me. This idea was just
way too good to go unpublished. Alpha/beta credits go to Jude, who was
as bowled over by the idea at first read as I was. You rock, gal!
This story references two of my other fics, the Day and Night series,
and The Quiet One from the Pearls of Wisdom series, but having read them
is not integral to the plot, and this story stands alone.
Internal dialogue between host and symbiote are noted like this:
**symbiote speaking**
--host speaking—

Silence
Pairing: J/D
Category: Slash. Angst. Romance.
Season/Spoilers: Season 7.

Synopsis: Daniel has something he knows he can never tell Jack, but on
a quiet night off world, the truth finds its own way out.

Daniel POV.

WARNINGS:  None.

Author’s Notes: Sometimes the stories just write themselves. This was
one of them – jotted down in 2 days. Jude had very little to correct in it,
so we’re both pretty pleased with how it turned out. ;-) Thank you, Jude,
for helping me make every story the best it can
be. Sometimes your touch is light; sometimes you make me bleed before
we’re done, but the stories are always far, far better for having had your
loving fingers in ‘em, and getting there is all the fun!

Posting Date: 5/6/2006

Synopsis: Jack makes an announcement without saying a word.

Sometimes I just like to have a little fun.
Homage to Jude for her
usual brilliant commentary.

Stars In His Eyes
Pairing: J/D
Category: Pre-slash. Angst. First Time.
Season: Season 7

Synopsis: Daniel's college roommate provides the necessary push
to get him and Jack together.

WARNINGS:  None.

Author’s Notes: Thanks to Shazzz for the beta!
I've often thought about what Daniel might have been like much younger,
before he came to the SGC. This is a look through the eyes of someone
who got to know him very well, when he was still a teenager. POV is that
of David Johnson, Daniel's college roommate.

Spoilers: Stargate, The Movie, Meridian, Fallen
Synopsis: While on a very strange alien world, Daniel begins to
change from geek to intergalactic babe, and no one is able to resist
him -- not even Jack – but the results are horrifying.
WARNINGS:  Graphic m/m sex; Danny-whumping in the extreme!
Notes: This story is quite the “SG-1-steps-into-the-Twilight Zone”
kind of fic, and my first horror story. It was fun and dark and sexy,
and I had a great time writing it. Thanks to Victoria for the idea, and
to Jude, who had to wade through a subject that normally turns her
WAY off, but she found a way to get through it like the trooper she is.
Bless you, gal! Thanks for your always-brilliant direction, and making me
